French Jacquard tea towel by Tissage Moutet the Christmas Collection "Christmas Treehouse"

A limited edition tea towel has a "Christmas Treehouse" motif and displays a moonlit Christmas forest scene with forest creatures and a freshly harvested Christmas tree. A woven French jacquard tea towel from Southwestern France, it's made of 100% cotton, measures 21" wide x 27" tall (53 cm x 69 cm) and is forest green and navy tones with an embroidered gold star and Christmas wreath. Design is by Hélène Druvert. Since 1919, Tissage Moutet has operated their weaving studio which is now headed by the fifth generation, Benjamin Moutet. 

The Basque fabric tradition dates back to the Middle Ages when Basque farmers began weaving sun-protecting capes called Saial to protect their cows. This high-quality fabric will not shrink and yarn-dyed colors remain vibrant after years of use. Machine wash and dry.
