French Jacquard tea towel by Tissage Moutet "Botanicals"

"Botanicals" French jacquard tea towel from Southwestern France features a whimsical green house design. Made of 100% cotton, it measures 20" wide x 28" tall (50 cm x 70 cm) and is Emerald green with a terra cotta stripe and embroidered flowers and watering can detail. This design is by textile artist Hélène Druvert. Since 1919, Tissage Moutet has operated their weaving studio which is now headed by the fifth generation, Benjamin Moutet. 

The Basque fabric tradition dates back to the Middle Ages when Basque farmers began weaving sun-protecting capes called Saial to protect their cows. This high-quality fabric will not shrink and yarn-dyed colors remain vibrant after years of use. Machine wash and dry.
