"Piments" motif is featured on French jacquard tea towel from Southwestern France. Made of 100% cotton, it measures 20" wide x 28" tall (50 cm x 70 cm) is deep red and black with green borders. The motif is inspired by the famous Basque country "AOC Piment d'Espelette" chile peppers. The Basque fabric tradition dates back to the Middle Ages when Basque farmers began weaving sun-protecting capes called Saial to protect their cows. This high-quality fabric will not shrink and yarn-dyed colors remain vibrant after years of use. Machine wash and dry.
