Piment d'Espelette/Espelette chili pepper from Pays Basque
Piment d'Espelette is a mild chili powder made from special peppers which grow in the Pyrenees Mountains near the village of Espelette in the Pays Basque region of Southwestern France. This AOP (Appellation d'Origine Protegé) seasoning pepper has a light smokiness and a little kick at the end. Espelette pepper is a versatile seasoning and can be used to season poultry, seafood and eggs.
