"St. Jean de Luz/Sardines" motif is woven in a French jacquard apron from Southwestern France. Made of 100% cotton with an adjustable neck, the over-sized format, 27" wide x 35" tall (70 cm x 90 cm) is denim blue with red and white stripes. The Basque fabric tradition dates back to the Middle Ages when Basque farmers began weaving sun-protecting capes called Saial to protect their cows. This high-quality fabric will not shrink and colors remain vibrant after years of use. Machine wash and dry. Make sure to order the matching tea towel!
